If you are looking for some healthy weight loss diet tips then you have come to the right place! Here is our recommended tips for healthy weight loss.
Soda / fizzy pop
Soda drinks are drunk by almost everyone and yet they are ladened with sugar and calories. If you like to indulge in a can or bottle of soda then you should look at drinking the low calorie or diet versions instead. They contain around 1 calorie per 330ml can and should be one of the first place you address.
Even better, have some water, or codial instead.
Estimated calorie savings per serving. 100 per 300ml can.
Milk
Milk contains quite a lot of fat so it is also high on the calories list – its another prime candidate that can be swapped out for an instant calorie reduced lifestyle.
If you have Whole milk, then swap this out for semi-skimmed (or skimmed for semi-skimmed). If you dont have a lot of milk then you might also want to try soya milk which tastes great with a bowl of cereal in the morning.
Estimated calorie savings per serving. 20-50 calories per cup of tea.
Cut out the spreads
Butter is often something that is hidden away in shop bought sandwiches or even more so when buying cakes and pastries but it is very much high in calories. If you make your own sandwiches you might be thinking this will make it dry. However, you can get just as tasty low fat spreads that do just the same job, but will reward you with a much lower calorie intake.
Even better, try experimenting with low fat versions of mayonaise, salad cream or other sauces instead and use this as your spread.
Estimated calorie savings per serving. Impossible to tell, but butter has over 80g fat per 100g butter and over 700 calories!
Stop having sugar in tea and coffee
Although this is a marginal it is again a small area that will soon add up. If you must have it sweetened then look for sweeteners or sugar alternatives
Estimated calorie savings per serving. 15 per teaspoon of sugar
By changing the small things listed above this can easily equate to over 1lb per week of weightloss from the reduced calories and this isnt exactly an earth moving change in diet or lifestyle! If you are looking for some other great healthy weight loss tips be sure to check out our free guide.
