J is for Just Do It!
ByFar too many people want to lose weight, but never end up doing anything about it. Have you considered going on a diet, but are still considering it?
If you are obese you should be looking to take action immediatly, whereas if you are overweight there is no time like the present to start making small changes to your lifestyle so you can lose a few pounds.
Before starting, I would recommended noting down a few things first. Make a note of your current weight, waist and hip measurements, and anything else you may want to track such as chest size. Keep these safe as these are your starting figures.
You should also make a note of your ideal or target weight. You can find which region you should be aiming for on the BMI chart.
By taking action now, you are going to lose weight sooner. If you find it hard to get motivated look at the list of starting statistics and target weight for some motivation. If possible, taking a few photographs may also help so you can see your progress. Also, the longer you leave it, the more weight you may actually end up putting on. Not only may this make it harder to shift it, but you may also be putting yourself at risk of various weight related health issues.
Be careful not to be part of the Christmas Crew (as i like to call them). These are people who have the best intentions of losing some weight, or even just getting fitter, and join a gym around christmas or new years time. Within 2 months though, they have given up because there is not enough dedication or will power to keep at it. It’s easy to fall into this trap, but for best results you will need to be doing some excercise for 3-5 times a week.
Healthy eating is also another factor, and you can find plenty of information about that elsewhere on throughout the healthy weight loss hq website.
